Housing Scholarship

The 2026 Summer Student Researcher Housing Need-Based Scholarship will open Monday, April 6, 2026. 

Eligibility:

  • Continuing »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµstudents
  • Participating in full-time funded summer research experience with CC faculty for the period of active research
  • Funding source for the student's stipend must be from a CC managed fund (e.g., Faculty Student Collaborative Grant, divisional executive committee grants, faculty research account, and external grants awarded to CC faculty)
  • Receiving need-based financial aid from »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ(awards are prorated according to need value) 

Application: Scholarship awards are made for the actual dates during which students are actively researching and funded. Awards will be considered on a first come, first served basis until the housing award fund is exhausted. Awards are need-based, and supported on a sliding scale based on information provided from the Financial Aid Office. Students without demonstrated financial need will not be eligible. All awards will be based on the rate of a double room. Students are encouraged to submit their online application as soon as possible.

Step 2: Complete the Residential Life Summer Housing Application. You can cancel your housing request if you do not receive a sufficient housing scholarship award. Review rates for Summer Housing and make sure you understand Meal Plan charges on the Summer Billing Information page.

Please note:

  • The meal plan cost is NOT covered by the housing scholarship.
  • For income tax purposes, the housing scholarship income may be taxable.
  • For international students, U.S. law may require a withholding of federal income tax on research fellowships and housing scholarships.
