How to Declare a Physics major:
- You maydeclare a physics major at any time, but we recommend completing PC241 and PC242 before declaring. A reminder that all students are required to declare a major by the end of their sophomore year!
- When you declare, you must switch your academic advisorto a faculty member in the department. Many students ask one of their introductory physics professors to be their advisor, but you may also email the Department Chair and ask to be assigned an advisor.
- Once your advisor is determined, fill out the with the Registrar’s Office.
- Submit your completed form online, and the Registrar’s Office will handle gathering all the necessary signatures. Congrats, you are now a physics major!
