C-Space
C-Space is a space where everyone in the CC community can engage with the creative process, figure things out, and connect with and augment their innate creativity. The space provides building, prototyping, and art materials intended for process-based creative exploration. Throughout the space, there is information about the creative process and instructions for exercises that build creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Last fall, this campus resource had over 700 visitors. The Catalyst featured C-Space in their calling the space a gem. To learn more and get access, contact Evelina Fisher.
What can you do in C-Space?
C-Space is designed for creative practice. We all have an innate ability for creativity and in C-Space, you can practice and augment that ability. In the space, there is information about the creative process and instructions for exercises that build creative thinking and problem-solving skills. It is a space for figuring things out, whatever those things might be. Materials such as K'NEX® construction toys, LEGO®, Momentix® chain reaction toys, wood cubes, beads, buttons, fabrics, yarn, thread, jewelry wire, acrylic paints, watercolors, charcoals, pastels, collage papers and Mod Podge®, gelli prints, and sound-making instruments support the exploratory and iterative process.
Where is C-Space?
C-Space is located at 232 E. Cache La Poudre St. in the northwest corner of E. Cache and N. Weber. To get Gold Card access, members first need to participate in an orientation to the space and complete a participation waiver. Contact Evelina Fisher to schedule an orientation.
