Honnen Classroom

Creativity & Innovation (C&I) oversees one of the beautiful classrooms in the restored Honnen building. In the high-vaulted, light-filled C&I classroom, faculty will find a wide range of creative materials that they can use in their classes. The process of transforming Honnen Ice Arena into Honnen Arts is detailed in the of Architectural Record and includes photos of the classroom.

Reserving Honnen 101

To request a class assignment to the C&I classroom in Honnen Arts, please contact Evelina Fisher (efisher2024@coloradocollege.edu). She will check availability for the block in question and, if the classroom is available, work with the Registrar's Office to complete the reservation.

Priority for assignment: 

  1. Faculty who are participating or have participated in one or more C&I programs, including:   
    1. Creative Courage Cohort 
    2. Possibility Books
  2. Faculty teaching a class that fulfills the Creative Process (CP) critical learning requirement.
  3. Faculty teaching a class that does not fulfil the CP critical learning requirement but integrates creative pedagogies and would benefit from the unique set up and materials available in the classroom.
Class assignments are available for the mornings only (9:00 am - 12:00 pm) because C&I runs afternoon events in the classroom on a blockly basis.
